Kelly's Short Haircut Style

Tools you will need:

  1. Comb
  2. Scissors
  3. Sectioning Clips
  4. Hair brush
  5. Blow dryer
  6. Flat iron
  1. Section Horizontally from occipital to tops o fears. Start with hairline, taking horizontal sections, pull hair out from head at 90-degree angle. Cut horizontal line. Work from hairline to occipital area. Important: keep hair damp.
  2. Comb hair flat to check natural growth-pattern. Cross-check section by cutting vertically. Important: to keep better shape, maintain tension by pulling hair.
  3. Section off hair just below crown. Beginning with horizontal section, work from just below crown up to temples.
  4. Take vertical section from center of neck. Pull hair at 90-degree angle from head. Cut square line. Continue up to front.
  1. Comb hair flat to visualize shape.
  2. Take vertical section from front to hairline. Overdirect hair slightly forward to build up more weight behind ear.
  3. Prepare other side.
  4. Work through other side, taking horizontal sections. Stop just behind ears. Continue by pulling hair vertically at 90-degree angle.
  1. Finish cutting section just behind ear. Important: notice color contrast.
  2. Section hale-moon shape in crown area. Take diagonal section from crown area into color side. Overdirect it slightly backward, lifting hair at 45-degree angle from head shape. This maintains length while reducing weight. Important: Lifting is essential to weight reducing.
  3. Wind up with triangle at front. Dry and straight-iron before finishing.
  4. Apply strengthening balm. Blow-dry hair smooth.
  1. Flatiron to smooth hair and bring out shine.
  2. Overdirect triangular section. Cut on angle (shorter to longer) to remove length.
  3. Slice-cut through to remove weight while maintaining length.
  4. Overdirect hair to other side. Point-cut ends, removing about an inch of length.
  1. Overdirect and cut short to long.
  2. Carefully clean up ends.

This style can be found in Technical Volume 2!

your gorgeuos..and you have awesome features but i think the cuts all wrong for you especially for your age ..i think it would have looked better if you went a bit darker ..cuz the blonde kinda washes you out ..and if you kept the lenght at about shoulder ..but otherwise your a beaut:)

well, her hair CUT is cute, but her hair needs to be styled, it looks wet and slick back on one side... maybe her hair is too thin for this cut? idk but it is a mistake.

Uhhh, did the hairstylist stop and forget to finish? Only young Emo people can pull this look off, and only with dark (black, purple, red) hair, not soft blonde. That is a huge fashion "WHAT DID I DO??"

Well, this is a very popular haircut these days, but she is just not good for that look. I think that she should darken her hair if she wants to have this hair style. And she is also a little too old for it. But I love it, I'm getting it tomorrow!

well it's ok from the front...UGLY from the side...and overall, i don't think it works on that woman at all...think it's more of a younger cut...and it needs a darker color...
