Summer is the best time for weddings and what better hairstyle than an updo for this occasion. Whether you are a bride, a bridesmaid or a guest, have a look at our updo collection and choose the one that suits you best.
Sarah Jessica Parker's regal updo
Sarah Jessica Parker has been simply a queen of style since Sex and the City so she was bound to be one of our inspirations. Her hairstyle for the Met Gala is an absolute perfection as far as grand updos go. Her hair was artfully divided in two and rolled up in two voluminous buns, but kept more subtle by the side sweep at the front. The element that we like best, though, are the beautiful white flowers tucked at the back. A stunning combination!
Kate Middleton's classy updo
Our favourite Duchess is a queen of blow-outs but she seems to be ruling in the kingdom of updos when it strikes her fancy. Her lovely hairstyle from the visit in Australia should be your inspiration if your are looking for an elegant and simplistic updo. Her hair at the front was divided slightly to the side and the top raised just a tiny bit. The real action is at the back, though. You can see her hair in a very low bun at the nape of her neck with some strands swirled over it, and held with pins. The overall effect is of elegance and class that you are bound to fall in love with.
Kesha's twisted updo
Truth be told, colourful Kesha probably would not be your first choice for a wedding hairstyle inspiration, but don't click away before we introduce you to one of her updos that we are convinced you will bookmark in no time. This hairstyle will be especially easy for the curly heads, since with a right texturising spray sweeping your locks back and pinning them layer after layer shouldn't be a difficult task. For others, not so lucky in the curl department, this is what the curling irons were made for, so grab one and twist and curl your way to this wonderful do. Pink shade and golden tooth are optional.
Angelina Jolie's twisted bun
As one of our favourite hair icons, Angelina again came up with an excellent idea that we can't wait to emulate when the right occasion presents itself. This time she pulled her hair back in what looked like a relaxed version of a French twist. It looks like she started from a low ponytail pinned up, with the end tucked under, which is a simple yet elegant solution. We also adore the way she pinned the hair on the sides to the back of her head creating a nice wave to break the vertical line of the bun at the back. A great updo for your collection.
